What is PRP?
PRP stands for Platelet Rich Plasma. PRP is the by-product of the centrifugation of a sample of a person's blood. It is used for the purpose of rejuvenating the skin and other tissues injected. PRP contains at least 7 growth factors and many reparative and regenerative properties. It's been used in for Orthopedic and Dental procedures for years but in recent years, it's gained a lot of popularity in the Aesthetic and Medical field as well. Some of our specific applications in the Aesthetic field are examples listed below. We have also attached web links for each procedure listed below for more in-depth information.
Vampire® Facial: A method that uses a micro-needling device to create multiple micro-punctures to allow the applied PRP on the skin to penetrate deep into to dermis and inducing the formation of new collagen, and an overall rejuvenated and refreshed look.
Vampire® Facelift: This is done with the use of a filler like Juvederm injected in a very specific way to sculpt a younger appearing face–while still keeping the shape natural. It's injected into certain areas of the face to lift and volumize tissue and PRP is then injected into the same sites where the filler was injected to induce an environment of tissue support, collagen formation and an overall youthful appearance.
Vampire Breast Lift: As with the Vampire Facelift, a dermal filler is injected into the breast cleavage area as a scaffold for the PRP to generate new collagen and tissue formation as it releases growth factors and the PRP is then injected on top of this area to enhance the appearance. Also, for cases of inverted nipples, the PRP injection can achieve a corrected look and improve sensitivity as well.
Hair Rejuvenation: Similar to the above procedures using PRP injection, it minimizes and stops hair loss by recruiting new hair to grow, improves and strengthens hair follicles and current hair, and stimulates the stem cells around the hair follicles to get thicker and induce natural hair growth. For men, a series of 4 treatments are done 1 month apart. For ladies, 2 treatments 1 month apart is a usual recommendation.
Scar/Stretch Mark Treatment: PRP is injected into and around scarred areas of the skin. The concentrated platelets release a host of beneficial growth factors that help to promote healing and stimulate regrowth of collagen and elastin, hence decreasing the appearance of the scar.
O-Shot®: The O-Shot is a PRP procedure treatment for urinary incontinence and rejuvenation of your sex life.
